Through the Share A Medicine Program of the Rotary Club of Metro Cebu under the Presidency of Dr. Susan Uriarte- Valmayor with the strong representation of Dr. Uldarico S. Uriarte, Jr. donated recently 6 cartoons of assorted medicines valued at Php25,000.00 to LGU Alegria to support the on-going medical-surgical mission to indigent families who needs medical attention.
The simple turn-over ceremony was attended and delivered personally by Dr. Susan Uriarte- Valmayor with her family and was accepted wholeheartedly by Mayor Dominador G. Esma, Jr. witnessed by Vice-Mayor Ernesto C. Odjinar, Sr. and Dr. Uldarico S. Uriarte, Jr.This medical program is a joint venture of Metro Cebu Rotary Club and Pharma King Distributors whose objective is to extend assistance to poor families in the form of medicines.
Mayor Esma in behalf of the people of Alegria expressed his thanks and gratitude to Metro Cebu Rotary Club and Pharma King Distributors thru its President, Dr. Susan Uriarte-Valmayor of facilitating the said donation. The mayor added, “These will be of great help to our constituents but first, they must undergo medical check-up in our local health station headed by Dr. Michelle Gloria S. Mola”. We are very lucky to be among the recipients of their Share a Medicine Program; it is because Dr. Uriarte-Valmayor is a native born of Barangay Julio Ouano this municipality, he said.
